Raychael Stine (B.A. UTDallas, M.F.A UIChicago) lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is an Associate Professor of Painting and Drawing at the University of New Mexico. She make luscious, joyful paintings that integrate multiple painterly languages and approaches to mark, texture, and levels of visual legibility, allowing for playful slippage between formal and material abstraction and traditional devices of painterly representation.
